This example uses Lakeside Apartments, one unit called A-101, and rent of UGX 500,000 per month. Replace the names, currency and amounts with your actual agreement.
1

Add the building

Open Properties & Blocks → Add Property. Enter a name, property type, address, city and rental currency. For a single building, leave multi-block mode off and enter its floors. Choose Save Property and confirm that the property card appears.
2

Add a rentable unit

Open Units Directory → Add Single Unit. Select Lakeside Apartments, enter A-101, choose a floor, and enter rent and security deposit. A unit type template is optional. Save the unit and confirm it is VACANT.
3

Register the resident

Open Tenants & Leases → Register Tenant. Enter the tenant’s name, email and phone. Add ID and emergency-contact details if available. You may attach up to three named supporting documents. Choose Save Profile.
4

Create the agreement

Choose Create Lease Contract. Select the tenant, building and vacant unit, then enter start/end dates. Choose Months, Bill Every: 1, and Rent per Billing Period: 500000 for monthly billing. Set the agreed deposit and activate the lease.
5

Check the first bill

Open Ledger & Payments. The first rent charge should show the covered dates, billed amount and outstanding balance. The unit should now be occupied by the tenant, and their profile should show their unit.
6

Record the money received

Choose Record Tenant Payment, select the tenant, confirm the amount, payment method and transaction reference, then review the allocation to the rent charge. Save the payment and check that the charge becomes PAID when fully covered.
7

Check your overview

Return to Overview. Review collections, outstanding charges and occupancy. Refresh the page: saved properties, units, tenants, bills and receipts should remain.

What to try next

Recording a rent payment logs money already received. It does not initiate a mobile-money transfer. SMS credit top-ups have a separate phone-payment flow.
